Product Research
The Donquijote Spanish online course Was designed by a team of donQuijote Spanish teachers, and is available in five different languages. This means that if your native language is English, French, German, Italian, or Dutch you can take these courses.
The course goals are fixed in accordance with the curriculum of the Instituto Cervantes (see accreditations above). There are four levels: beginner, intermediate, advanced and superior. Each level consists of 10 lessons. The company states that the average time you will spend to complete and successfully pass each level is approximately 40 hours. It It recommends you should take no longer than four months for each step in order to reap the full benefits of the language course.
This course starts off with a number of simple exercises, complete with grammar explanations, a dictionary and other resources. These resources include images, interactive games, language quizzes, email support, discussion boards and chat rooms.
Twice a week a teacher will give live support. The company states that this support will be given a suitable hour for any student anywhere in the world.
In summary these comprise the full online language course:

Cost
The first level, for a four-month period cost €160 . Note this is in Euro, NOT dollars. And this first level is for beginners or if you want to brush up on your Spanish language skills..
If an extension is needed to your first four month period for an extra four weeks this will cost you €25.

Nevertheless they can be an indicator of quality and many people look for them. Therefore Spanish Lessons Online tried to do some of that legwork for you. We found no student feedback or complaints in this search.
Recommendation
Donquijote is a very experienced organisation when it comes to teaching Spanish on location in Spanish speaking countries. Please note that Spanish lessons online has really only provided a summary of the Dq online course as it is presented by this organisation. A recommendation is in the main based on the existing track record of Dq in its face to face Spanish language schools. There is no reason to think that it's online course should be of any less quality. But at the cost of €160 for the first level of language course we believe that Rocket Spanish, or Synergy Spanish is a better choice. Of course, the Dq online Spanish course may still be your preferred choice is you'd think that consistency in approaches is important when thinking about booking a Donquijote adventure in a Spanish language school.
